The FFA Alumni works closely with the South Shelby School Board to promote agricultural education within the district. Additionally, the FFA Alumni is an organization that partners with FFA for student success. Agricultural education teachers are blessed to have alumni members to provide real-world experiences for South Shelby FFA students. Whether it is speaking in front of a class about your career, being a judge for a contest, providing FFA students with feedback on a speech/project, loaning mechanical equipment or livestock for students to study, or helping to raise money for scholarships, the Blue & Gold Alumni is a integral part of our South Shelby FFA Chapter's success!
Who can join this organization?
You don't have to be a past South Shelby FFA member to join this organization. You don't even have to be a past FFA member. If you are interested in helping students further their knowledge and career opportunities in agriculture, here is how you can get involved.
How can I get involved?
First, to become a member of this organization, all you have to due is pay your dues. Yearly dues are $13 or you can pay lifetime dues of $200.
Second, fill out a resource form (Attached below or hardcopy is available from Nathan Hillard). This helps narrow the Alumni Officer's call list when we need specific items for a contest, for example a John Deere 4430 Tractor.
